Getting paid for items you’ve sold
Getting paid is easy and fast on APX with no withdrawal threshold. When a buyer purchases one of your items on APX, how you get paid will depend on the payment methods you offer and which one the buyer chooses at checkout.
If you’re new to selling on APX, learn how to set up and change your payment methods.
How to get paid
After you’ve sold an item and the buyer has paid, you’ll automatically receive your proceeds as long as they paid through Stripe Connect, but the exact process and timing will depend on the payment method the buyer used. If the buyer pays with either PayPal or a credit or debit card, we’ll send you an email to let you know when the payment is in our account.
- PayPal: When a buyer pays with PayPal, they’ll send money directly to APX’s PayPal account. This is usually immediate and you can request funds same day from APX to your PayPal account.
- Credit or debit card (Stripe Connect): If a buyer uses a credit or debit card and you don’t have a merchant gateway, then their payment is processed through our Stripe payment gateway before being added to our Stripe account. You can then request a Withdraw to receive payments. We HIGHLY recommend setting up both a Stripe and PayPal account to insure payments can be accepted by you.
Tip
We recommend verifying that payment has been made—and that you’ve received the funds—before sending your item.
Checking on the status of your payment
You can check the status of a payment in either your Dashboard:
- In Dashboard, go to Orders.
- Check status of latest order to see if it’s cleared.
If a payment shows as pending, there could be a problem with your PayPal address or Stripe Connect account, if you’re new to selling, you may have funds on hold.
If you’re waiting longer than you expect for a payment, contact the buyer to find out if there’s a problem. If the buyer hasn’t paid, you might be able to open an unpaid item case or cancel the transaction.
